My previous company was very fond of setting Stretch Goals when it came to appraisal time - that is goals that would challenge what you already knew and stretch you further out of your comfort zone.
With this in mind and having joined a number of new stitchy blogs over the past couple of days, here is a list of the goals I'd like to accomplish for this year, stitchy wise, in no particular order (and more than one objective can be covered by the same item):
1. Start and persevere with a HAED project.
2. Start and complete a project on evenweave or linen.
3. Stitch a beautiful sampler... I think the long, thin ones on light browny backgrounds look stunning.
4. Make something for halloween so that I have something to do up my flat with
5. Start a Lizzie*Kate design... they are so pretty and I have none in my stash!
I think 5 is enough for now.
Incidentally, I find that seeing everyone else's work on their blogs really spurs me on, so thank you!

Thanks for joining my blog and here is back-at-ya. Stitching on evenweave and linen is not as hard as it looks, I was scared I would ruin them too at first. I'll never give up aida but they are nice to work with.
Thanks for joining my blog, love your goals, I finished my family sampler last year after years of promising myself I would do one. I love linen, don't be put off when you see a couple of fat threads in the weave, they always stich up well, and you work has a natural feel.
POp over to my blog, you aremy 1st RAK for this year. can you please send me your address to marlenejjones@gmail.com

Hi Cucki, thank you for following and for your comments... there's nothing like putting your goals down on the internet or even just on paper, then you feel like you have to try really hard to achieve them!
I look forward to seeing all your projects too.
Love and hugs to you :) xx
Great goals for sure! I can't imagine doing an HAED piece. More power to you!
